I took my son to Swiss Chalet two weeks ago for a chicken dinner (1/4 with fries). Consistently good. The waitress was attentive, and knew how to keep the baby at the table next door happy (crackers, crayons, drinks... STAT!). When my wife and I went out for dinner the next week, where did my son go? We LOVE Swiss Chalet! This is easily the most dependable place in town to eat. The food is always good, hot, delicious, and quickly delivered. I take quickly delivered to mean that I don't have to wait! Our servers have always been friendly, and the restaurant is always clean. The manager seems to be a little unpredictable at times, otherwise, it's a great, simple place to go with friends or family and we always go back!

I brought my 81 year old Uncle and my younger beautiful Aunt to this Swiss Chalet for lunch. The server was very bright, cheerful and friendly. The meal was served within minutes and she got everything right. I happened to mention that we were going to use the coupon(s) that my Aunt had received in the mail, but we couldn't find that day. She had an extra coupon so she offered it to us. That changed my mind about the restaurant even though I had a bad experience before.

The food here was AMAZING and likely the best Middle Eastern cuisine in Toronto. And being Middle Eastern and quite critical of Middle Eastern cuisine myself, take my word for it.
The Filet Mignon and Chicken are incredibly moist and tender. MUST HAVES !!! Hummous and Baba Ganoush were just barely behind my moms!
We've held two medium size functions in this restaurant (20-30 people) including a baptism. We were initially worried about pleasing everyone (its rare that EVERYONE really enjoys the food anywhere), however, that was the case BOTH TIMES! Italians, Greeks and Arabs, ALL LOVED IT.
I recently read some so so reviews and felt it was important to share our own experiences so that others would have the opportunity to taste the food and not be deterred.
Its true the atmosphere is ok and the service may be just ok, but the food makes up for anything!!!
Try it! You will not regret it !!!

Hey, so its your standard greasy spoon. Quick service with a open kitchen so you can see whats going on. I work about two blocks away so I eat there probably 2 times weekly on average. I have never been let down. 5.95 for a lunch special that is more than I can eat, although Im sure that some ppl would have little problem ingesting the mountain of food. This place has the BEST Tzatziki sauce ever, it is SO good. I always get extra servings and put it on everything, because it tastes amazing with all the flavours.
My friend and I usually get the same thing and share. Their portions are reasonable sizes for the prices they offer. I love that they come with rice and salad :)
The server is also friendly and is always smiling eventhough he is conservative. Their interior reflects warm tones and even the patio is a good place to eat.
Try the stuffed eggplant, it is absolutely delicious! My absolute favourite :)

Margarita- Only had better at an authentic Mexican place in Bradford (MexiCanada). Wonderful traditional flavor and properly made and presented.
Dry Rib- Excellent. Wonderful taste, not overwhelming the meat, meat done to perfection. Was told it was more spicy than the wet rib, loved the heat. Had it with a nice Malbec
Coleslaw - best I have ever had. The sauce was creamy but light and didn't overwhelm the veg. Very fresh and crunchy.
Sweet Potato Fry- done nice and dark (double fried) and still full full of flavor but no grease AT ALL. excellent job.
Atmosphere- low key, dim lights and excellent music mix. Easy to slip into an indulgent mode. Very comfortable in the diner decor and the simple bell used to signal the next order being ready.
OVERALL - WOW! Will be back. Can't wait for patio season!
